All are welcom to attend an Interview with Playwright Art Devine by Bob Seay, Morning Edition host WGBH 89.7 radio, and a talk back after Sunday, May 27th's matinee.
We are honored to produce the world premiere of Art Devine's latest play. In this compelling story of female aviators set in the United States between the World Wars, Art explores themes of race and gender with a smart, independent, and passionate protagonist, who "just wants to fly." As in his previous plays, 9-Ball and Winter Wheat, Art challenges us to think about our country in a new way, through a tale that is provocative, funny, and wholly original. Come welcome the season with this new work by one of our most respected local artists

"Cape Rep's world premier production ... is as compelling as it is seamlessly complex." The Cape Cod Times, Scott Dalton
"If “The Bottom of the Sky” is any indication, we’re in for a stellar season at the Cape Rep!"Inside/Out Cape Cod, Jeannette deBeauvoir
"In a time where entertainment dollars are doled out judiciously by the theatergoing public, an unknown play might not draw the same crowds as one with name recognition. That would be a mistake with this one. Seeing a play right out of the wrapper is exciting stuff, especially when it is addressed with the high production values that Devine and his creative team and cast bring to the table."John Watters, Barnstable Patriot
"The two hours flew by - forgive the pun - as we embraced the fine acting and the well-written script. It's so exciting to be at the beginning of the run of a show that is sure to be talked about for ages. Call for your tickets now, this show is going to sell out."
Amy Tagliaferri, The Cape Cod Chronicle
