A world premiere written by Art Devine
Directed by Trish Minskoff
Cape Rep Theatre is honored to produce the world premiere of Art Devine's latest play, The Bottom of the Sky, as our May 2012 season opener. In this compelling story of female aviators set in the United States between the World Wars, Art explores themes of race and gender with a smart, independent, and passionate protagonist, who "just wants to fly." As in his previous plays, 9-Ball and Winter Wheat, Art challenges us to think about our country in a new way, through a tale that is provocative, funny, and wholly original. We invite you to participate in the opening play of our 2012 season with this new work by one of our most respected local artists.
